ServicePricing™ Frequently Asked Questions
Q. What is ServicePricing?
A. ServicePricing is a customized price quoting system that offers dealers the opportunity to generate an accurate, to-the-penny price, while allowing users quick and easy access to parts and labor information for up to 90% of the most common maintenance and customer pay repair operations.
Q. Where does the information come from?
A. Part number information, cost/list pricing, super cessions and new model introductions are all provided by manufacturers with updates provided on a regular basis to your dealerships.
Labor Pricing, miscellaneous charges, tax rates, even hazardous waste fees are all provided by and controlled by you, to reflect your existing business rules.
Q. We don’t have ADP’s Dealer Management System (DMS). Can I still receive the ServicePricing program?
A. Yes. ServicePricing is available and runs in a stand-alone or networked PC environment.
Q. We use a 3rd party Labor Time Guide to calculate our estimates. Can ServicePricing accommodate this?
A. Currently, ServicePricing will calculate labor times based on factory/warranty time plus a multiplier of your choice.
MOTOR Labor Time Guide* is available for select manufacturer lines as an alternative labor time calculator.
* MOTOR Labor Time Guide is published by MOTOR Information Systems, which is part of Hearst Business Publishing, Inc |
Q. We have labor grids, “menu” priced repairs and parts matrix escalators. Will these integrate with ServicePricing?
A. Yes. Since ServicePricing is fully customizable to meet your dealership’s individual and specific needs, it will accommodate labor grids, menu items (such as “front brake pad replacement with rotor resurface”), and will automatically utilize appropriate Parts matrix pricing based on your parts sourcing.
Q. Once we enroll in ServicePricing, how do we learn how to use it?
A. Hayes-Ligon offers comprehensive training for all new ServicePricing clients. This includes an interactive computer-based training (CBT) via DealerSuite.com, “live”, instructor-led Coach training via the telephone and Internet; and onsite training by one of our certified and knowledgeable account executives (onsite training available only for ServicePricing for ADP DMS dealers). For existing ServicePricing clients in need of a training “tune-up”, any of these components can be made available to you. Please contact Hayes-Ligon for more information.
Q. My advisors have been using the same Op Codes for years. Will they have to learn new ones?
A. Since ServicePricing is “keyword” and menu driven, you will not need to learn a new set of operation codes. By simply entering a keyword or partial keyword (i.e. WAT for Water Pump) or using a simple “drop down” menu, the user will be able to find the operation they are looking for.
Q. We utilize Electronic Repair Order (ERO). Is ServicePricing integrated with this solution so that my technicians can access Part and Labor information from their terminals?
A. Yes. ServicePricing fully integrates with ADP’s ERO functionality, allowing your technicians to look up part and labor information right from their terminals and submit directly to the service advisor. This in turn will minimize their need to leave their bays - thereby helping to boost productivity and increase efficiency.
Q. My sales people and F&I manager are asking me to build them an “accessories” spread sheet. Can ServicePricing simplify this process for me?
A. Yes. ServicePricing has already done the work for you for most manufacturer lines. ServicePricing provides a comprehensive accessories list*, including labor times and dollar amounts, along with the associated Parts information.
Accessories are displayed two ways:
A. Internal, which will price labor using your internal labor rate.
B. Retail, which will price labor using your customer pay labor rate.
