WarrantyWizard™ Support FAQs
Q. Why do I get the message “WarrantyWizard™ was not installed properly Error IN01” when I try to open the program?
A. When WarrantyWizard™ was loaded it was loaded using the Administrator’s login and password. WarrantyWizard should be loaded under the user’s login and password.
Q. Why do I get the message “No data detected” when I click on the WarrantyWizard icon?
A. This is normal after installing the setup CD.  The current data CD must be loaded before accessing the program for use.
Q. How do I load the data CD?
A. Insert the data CD into your CD-ROM drive and open the WarrantyWizard program. Click on “Utility” at the top of the screen and select “Install Updates”.  From the source drive window, select the letter of your CD-ROM drive (generally D:, but drive letters could vary with each computer).
Q .Why are my warranty claims being rejected when using WarrantyWizard?
A. If you are receiving rejected claims, check your data’s effective date.  If your data is not current, contact our client services team to have a new CD shipped to you.
Q.Why do I get an error message when I try to load my data update?
A. The most recent WarrantyWizard program may not be installed.  Before loading  your new data update, be sure to check the version of WarrantyWizard.  Open the WarrantyWizard program and click “Help” or “About” at the top of the screen to  view the version number. Compare the version displayed in the program to the version printed on the data CD label. Contact a client services representative if the versions are different.  If versions match but the problem persists, you may have a damaged CD or restricted access to the program.
Q. How do I know if the new data update worked?
After the data update is loaded, you will receive a message confirming the update was successfully completed.  The WarrantyWizard program will automatically shutdown for the updates to take effect. When reopening WarrantyWizard (depending on the type of update), a new data effective date will be displayed.
Q. We just received a new version of WarrantyWizard, how do I install it?
A. Anytime you are updating to a new version of WarrantyWizard, insert the software CD in the CD-ROM drive. The program will begin an “auto-run” to install.
Q. Now that I have installed the new version of WarrantyWizard, how do know that it’s actually installed?
A. Once installed, the application icon will appear on your desktop. Click on the icon to open your WarrantyWizard program and click "Help" or “About” to view the WarrantyWizard version number which should match the CD label.
Q. I am reinstalling WarrantyWizard. Do I need to start from the beginnin to load all the older setups and data?
A. No. You will only need to install the very latest version of WarrantyWizard and the latest data CD.  The data CD will contain all the information so that when you receive and load your new data CD, you can discard CDs from prior updates.
Q. I installed WarrantyWizard a few weeks ago but now when I try to use it I get the message that my evaluation version of WarrantyWizard is about  to expire. Why is this?
A. The evaluation software allows for a limited number of accesses. If you have purchased the software, you will need to load the media which was sent to you in order to have permanent access.
Q. Can WarrantyWizard be loaded to a server or network?
A. Yes, it can be loaded to the server or network in just a few easy steps: Install the setup CD from a client machine (pushing the data to the server is better then loading it directly to the server).  During the installation it will ask if you want to load this as typical setup for stand-alone PC or as a client server.  Select the client server setup and follow the on-screen prompts. When prompted to install the data to a folder, select the network drive from where you will be accessing the data. Be sure to share the folder with everyone and allow full control to all the users so they will be able to read, write, and execute. You will still need to load the setup CD on all the computers that will be using WarrantyWizard and point them to the same drive on the server in order for them to share the information.
